Description

***Now Hiring Med Device Assemblers!***

  • Direct Placement – no contract period
  • All shifts available
  • Competitive Pay

Responsibilities

Assemblers are tasked each day with assembling small medical devices by hand. Each product has anywhere from 1-15 steps, and takes anywhere from 17 seconds to 5 minutes per device.
Assemblers are trained to start on one simple sub-assembly on the line. As the device comes down the line the Assembler will complete their small task, and pass the part down the line by hand to the next Assembler. This is an assembly line environment, but it is all table/station based in that there is no conveyor belt or machinery moving product down the line… it is all by hand. Once an Assembler masters the simple task they are assigned, they can be trained on a more complex task, and an even more complex one after that. All of the tasks are outlined in the Manufacturing Execution System which is at the Assemblers' stations to walk them through each exact task needed during the assembly process.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Previous assembly experience preferred
  • Good eyesight and dexterity – many of the parts that are being assembled are very small and require good vision and a steady hand
  • Ability to perform repetitive and tedious tasks for extended periods of time
